All-Star Production of Patriotic Episodes for the Second Liberty Loan photograph. 1917. Typewritten snipe on verso reads, "Use will be appreciated by Uncle Sam / From Pete Schmid / Uncle Sam's All-Star Photoplay / The greatest collection of stars ever assembled in one production either on screen or stage is evidenced in the photoplay recently staged to stimulate interest in the Second Liberty Loan. In this film Mary Pickford turns bandit and at the point o Bill Hart's own famous six-shooter relieves Douglas Fairbanks, Hart, Julian Eltinge and Theodore Roberts of their possessions in the way of Liberty Bonds. Many other interesting features are presented in this picture by 'stars' not only of the screen and stage, but of civic life as well including President Wilson, Secretary McAdoo, Thomas Edison, David Warfield, John Drew, Billie Burke, Wilton Lackaye, Lillian Russell, Pauline Frederick and many other celebrities."

Hart is a 'bad man' in real life as well as on the screen in Artcraft pictures, is firmly established in the mind of Mary Pickford. While indulging in a nice sociable ice cream part with the fifty children which with her appear in 'The Little Princess' recently, Mary suddenly faced two guns behind which crouched 'Big Bill' Hart the champion bad man of the photoplay.
