Mary Pickford Warrens of Virginia - Rahmn Marceau Copyprint and Negative

Mary Pickford as Betty Warren in the Belasco production of The Warrens of Virginia (1907 - 1909.) The original photo was taken by Marceau but this happens to be a copyprint and negative taken by K.O. Rahmn. Reportedly from the Rahmn Estate, but was it? Gifted from the Pamela Short Collection.

Not to be redundant, but written on verso seemingly in Mary's hand: "Mary Pickford as Betty Warren in David Belasco's production 'The Warrens of Virginia' written by William de Mill. (MP's age fourteen years.)"

Mary Pickford - Glass Negatives - c. 1916

Two Mary Pickford glass negatives.  The cut glass is roughly 2.5 x 1.75 and has clearly added white borders. The one photo was supposedly taken by a Photoplay magazine photographer for the February 1916 issue of Photoplay Magazine. The other, unfortunately damaged, negative depicts an illustration that was used on number of things including postcards, magazines, and sheet music. If anyone definitively knows what these were used for let me know. I can't imagine the rather mundane photo of MP reading on a couch could have been used for much. c. 1916.

Mary Pickford Lindstedt-Phelan Photo & Negative - c. 1925

Mary Pickford Lindstedt-Phelan Photo - c. 1925. This photo originates from the Mary Pickford Estate and comes from her personal collection. While in my opinion there are superior Lindstedt photos out there in the world, this is still certainly a nice photo and which shows a less "glamorous" and more "everyday" studio portrait of Mary from the mid-20s.

Original nitrate negative with Lindstedt-Phelan Studio mark signed in ink.

Closeup of some of the interesting 1920s "photoshopping" on the negative -- tweaking the shadows / fine lines / eyebrow, accentuating the eyelashes, etc.

File folder that contained the photograph and negative with labeling by Mary.
