During Mary’s short time with the Majestic Motion Picture Company, they were quite enthusiastic about this "handsome photo of Little Mary." On a full page ad in several publications, including the December 2, 1911 issue of The Moving Picture World, Majestic noted, “The most beautiful photograph ever taken of your favorite, Little Mary Pickford, will appear on the front cover of The New York Dramatic Mirror, December 5th. This photograph was taken by Bangs, of New York, and is a work of art.”
The December 5, 1911 issue of The New York Dramatic Mirror featuring the cover photo noted, “The portrait of that pleasing little actress, Mary Pickford, which appears on the cover page of The Mirror this week, is from the most effective still photograph of the little lady ever made. The original negative is by Bangs and no one will deny that he has caught Miss Pickford at a most delightful moment. For the purpose to which the portrait is put, The Mirror artist has added to the effect with his usual artistic taste and skill, so that all in all the portrait is one of the most attractive that has ever graced The Mirror’s cover page.”
