Mary Pickford photo for Secrets. Attached typewritten snipe reads, “Roy Laidlaw, make-up man on the set, holds a mirror for Miss Pickford while she supplies the rouge for SECRETS, her new United Artists production.”

Typewritten snipe attached on verso reads, “International News Photo. Hollywood, Calif. Mary Pickford was painfully but not seriously injured when a 150 pound lamp feel and knocked her unconscious while she was at work on a United Artist’s set. Though nursing several bruises on her left arm and an aching head, in real trouper fashion she resumed her work before the motion picture cameras. Miss Pickford is shown seated in front of the big light that fell and hit her. 12/30/32.”
