Hello, I have the third photo in my collection, I did not know it was a Hoover, mine is not stamped. However, on the back of my photo, Mary has written, " Most Beautiful pictures I've ever had taken/ never used." I bought my photo in 2009 on eBay, Mary had that distinctive writing style (as you know) and I was so surprised when the photo arrived, as the seller did not show the back. Kind Regards, Pamela
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment! I'm glad that you now know your photo is a Hoover Art Co. photo -- at least my little website here had proved helpful to someone! Also glad you have that photo... it is indeed a nice photo. It's interesting it was noted "never used" because I think I recall seeing one of them in an old magazine if my memory is correct.
DeleteMakes me wonder if Mary had a hard time keeping track of every image used. I was so pleased to see the three you have, and solving the mystery of the photographer for me. !!!
